maebe for newsrooms

Draft. Approve. Live.

Our trainees draft, the newsroom polishes, and nothing goes live without approval. maebe maps exactly this chain — without group chat chaos and without anything slipping out too early.

How Newsrooms use maebe

Tools

How we use maebe.

Five tools map the editorial routine — from the morning meeting to the approval.

01

Roles & permissions

Trainees and freelancers work as juniors: they draft and prepare but can’t publish anything. Responsibility stays where it belongs.

02

Internal approval inbox

The desk editor sees every submitted post in one inbox, approves it or sends it back with a note — documented, with timestamps.

03

Planning mode & occasions calendar

Topics can be captured as planning ideas before they’re worked out. The occasions calendar surfaces holidays and awareness days right inside the editorial calendar.

04

Visuals

Branded text and quote tiles in the newsroom’s look: statement posts, number of the day, programme notes — built right in maebe, no detour via the graphics desk.

05

Media pools

Photos from assignments land in a central pool — everyone on the team helps themselves, nothing sits in private download folders.

Features we use sparingly

AI assistant

Off-limits for research, handy for caption variants and tightening copy — editorial responsibility stays with humans.

Direct publishing

Standard channels run automatically; sensitive topics we deliberately post by hand after a final check.

Workflow

A look at our routine.

Topics as ideas Trainee drafts Desk editor inbox Approved Live

The day’s topics land in the calendar as planning ideas. Over the morning our trainee turns them into post drafts — images from the team pool, quote tiles from Visuals, a rough AI caption, polish by her. At 2 p.m. she submits everything for approval. The desk editor works through the inbox, sends one post back with a note, approves the rest. Approved posts publish themselves at the scheduled times — or are deliberately posted by hand.
