maebe compared.

Nine tools, one honest assessment. What maebe does differently, where others are stronger — and who benefits from which switch.

SWOT

Where we stand.

Top: what maebe can and can’t do, as of September 2026. Bottom: what a switch brings you — and what to consider first. Including the points that speak against us.

About maebe · For you

Strengths

5
  • Client approval via link and PIN in every plan, even the free one — with most competitors only in mid or top tiers.
  • Content first: collect and curate material, then schedule. The others start in the calendar.
  • One team per client instead of a brand in a dropdown, team members included in the price.
  • German contract partner, storage in Germany, AI by Mistral from France, prices in euros incl. VAT.
  • MCP server with write access: AI clients create posts, read pools and submit approvals.

Weaknesses

5
  • Fewer networks: no X, no Pinterest, no Snapchat, no Google Business Profile.
  • No social listening, no message inbox, no ad analytics — deliberate, but a minus for suite customers.
  • Insights only with Social Connect; analytics depth below that of analytics specialists.
  • No certifications such as ISO 27001 or C5 — if your procurement requires them, we don’t have them yet.
  • MCP only from Pro — Metricool and Iconosquare include it in their free plans.

Opportunities for you

5
  • Client approvals from day one — your clients need no account, not even on the free plan.
  • One plan per team instead of per-user pricing: the price grows with your setup, not with every new colleague.
  • Contract partner in Germany and AI from the EU — for privacy-sensitive clients one line in the contract instead of a discussion.
  • Collect and curate first, schedule later — with media pools your clients fill and rate themselves.
  • AI clients such as Claude or ChatGPT operate maebe via MCP: create posts, read pools, submit approvals.

Risks when switching

5
  • No automatic import: reconnect accounts, re-upload material — scheduled posts keep running in the old tool until you stop them there.
  • Missing networks: no X, Pinterest, Snapchat or Google Business Profile — check first whether you need them.
  • No listening, no message inbox, no ad analytics — a second tool remains necessary for those.
  • If your procurement requires certifications such as ISO 27001 or C5, maebe can’t provide them today.
  • Insights only with Social Connect — without the extra, maebe is a planning and approval tool, not an analytics tool.

Basis: the provider’s smallest paid plan against maebe Solo, each as the monthly price billed annually as shown on the pricing pages. Currencies are not converted, taxes not aligned; up to about 20 % difference counts as “about the same”. Billing units differ (per team, user, channel, workspace, brand) — details are on each comparison page. All competitor facts from their public pages; the verification date and sources are on each comparison page. “–” = not offered or not stated on the public pages.
